Nine full-length features have been selected for this edition, each presented in a dedicated section. The five highlighted here, to be screened independently in select venues, showcase the filmmakers’ remarkable ability to explore genres and tell compelling stories.

Feminine Singular boldly presents the voices of 30 Argentinian women through performance art, crossing boundaries and bending genres with creative flair. The animated film Jon Vardar vs the Galaxy, from North Macedonia, is a fun, unique and fantastical journey filled with surprises for the curious viewer. Boreal tackles the impact of familial loss and the quiet complexities of moving on after death shakes domestic life. Clarice’s Dream is as imaginative as its protagonist, uncovering moments of beauty within tragedy. Meanwhile, Apollon by Day, Athena by Night, a winner at the Tokyo International Film Festival, offers a mystical journey of a daughter searching for her long-lost mother. The film metaphorically extends a hand to viewers, inviting them to walk alongside its characters.
