Our eleventh cycle brings us to focus on Spain where fantastic films are aplenty but choosing a set to comprise ‘Tutok Espanya’ is tough. There’s no one adjective that unites them as they vary in look, treatment, mood, style and exploration of the genres. There are the straightforward ones; the fun ones; the horrifying; the emotional; the challenging; the playful; the mysterious; the absurd; the bloody; and the naughty ones. No amount of words can fully describe these films. They are meant to be seen; to be consumed. If this was a set menu, then ‘eat all you can’!
