Bakunawa Fest XI proudly announces Mikey Bustos as its featured music artist for the section, Rytmo (Rhythms). Mikey's 2025 music videos are all genre-based. With his versaility, talent, music, charm, artistry and creative music videos, Bakunawa Fest took close notice. As featured artist, his music videos will be playing in all venues during the fest's run plus they're all featured in our website too. Check out the three music videos below.
 

ABOUT OUR FEATURED MUSIC ARTIST

Mikey Bustos is a Canadian-born Filipino singer-songwriter, performer, comedian, actor, and online personality. Fondly dubbed the “Ambassador of Filipinos on the Internet,” he’s best known for his witty, Filipino-themed musical videos, both comedic and heartfelt, on YouTube and Facebook.
 

His career first caught public attention in 2003, when he placed as 7th runner-up in the very first season of Canadian Idol. That same year, he earned a Canadian Gold Record after the Canadian Idol compilation album, released under SONY/BMG Canada, sold over 60,000 copies nationwide.
 

Since then, Mikey has released three original albums, several EPs, and a string of singles, all available on iTunes, Spotify, and other major platforms. He’s also had the chance to open for global superstars, including Christina Aguilera in 2007 and the Pussycat Dolls in 2006.
 

Now based in Manila, Mikey juggles multiple hats as a singer and performer, TV actor, event host, and video creator. His work has earned him numerous accolades, including Best YouTube Channel and Best YouTube Video in the Philippines at the 2015 WebTV Asia Awards in Kuala Lumpur. That same year, he was also named Top YouTube Personality at the Influence Asia Awards in Singapore.
